Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 18, 2026

Proxxi ("we", "our", "us") is operated by Midwest Auto & Commerce LLC d/b/a Michai Media. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Proxxi mobile application or website.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address or phone number, display name, date of birth for adult eligibility, and profile information such as industry, bio, interests, language, and safety preferences.

Location Data: Proxxi uses your device location to show nearby events, people, and rooms. Radar is designed around approximate proximity, not a public GPS pin. Your exact location is not shown to other users. If you choose to turn on live location sharing, your precise live location may be visible to your existing Proxxi connections for the limited time shown in the app, and you can turn it off anytime.

Event and Plan Activity: We collect interactions such as event detail views, RSVPs, saves, shares, source-link opens, plan creation, privacy-minimized plan share/open/view signals, guest joins, report submissions, reminders, and preference signals so we can improve recommendations, event quality, and the plan invitation experience. The plan funnel signal log does not store IP addresses, user agents, precise location, plan titles, venues, or raw user IDs; app actions use a one-way hourly dedupe token and signals expire after 180 days.

Messages: We store messages you send to other users and in rooms. Messages may be analyzed by AI for content moderation purposes only.

Identity Verification: If you choose to verify your identity, this is handled by Persona, a third-party provider. Proxxi never sees or stores your ID photos. We receive the outcome, replace completed provider references with a one-way hash, and automatically expire outcome-only audit records after 180 days.

Diagnostics and Analytics: We may use privacy-conscious analytics and crash/session monitoring, including Google Analytics on the public website and PostHog and Sentry in the app, to understand search discovery, page usefulness, App Store referrals, onboarding, feature usage, crashes, and performance. Website analytics starts with advertising and personalization storage disabled, provides an analytics choice, and does not send form email addresses or precise location to Google Analytics.

Organizer Inquiries and Orders: If you request or buy an organizer service, we collect business contact details, organization name, event name and date, official event link, intake notes, selected offer, campaign attribution, checkout status, payment identifiers, and fulfillment status. Stripe processes card and billing details; Proxxi does not receive or store your full card number.

2. How We Use Your Information

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

4. Location Privacy

Your exact GPS coordinates are stored securely and are not exposed as your public Radar position. Proxxi uses approximate proximity and privacy-preserving location logic for Radar. You can enable Ghost Mode at any time to become invisible on Radar. Optional live location sharing is off by default, limited to existing connections, time-boxed, and can be stopped anytime. Proxxi does not expose a public movement trail.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your account data as long as your account is active. Messages and reports are retained unless deleted or required for safety, moderation, legal, fraud-prevention, or abuse-prevention reasons. AI-generated icebreakers expire after a short period. Location data is minimized, and stale precise-location records are routinely purged after they are no longer useful for active features. Some residual copies may remain in backups, logs, or fraud-prevention records for a limited period.

Organizer inquiry, order, payment, and fulfillment records may be kept for the period needed to deliver services, handle refunds and disputes, prevent fraud, maintain tax and accounting records, and meet legal obligations. Campaign attribution is limited to marketing parameters and is not sent to analytics with form email addresses.

You can delete your account from the app or by contacting support@michaimedia.com. Account deletion removes or de-identifies profile, Radar, and account records where legally and technically required retention does not apply.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

7. Vendors and Service Providers

We use service providers to operate Proxxi. Current provider categories include database, authentication, hosting, push notifications, crash monitoring, analytics, identity verification, app-store billing, payments, and optional AI services. These providers are used only for product, safety, support, billing, diagnostics, and security purposes.

Important providers may include Supabase, Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Persona, PostHog, Sentry, Expo, and configured AI providers. Event source providers such as Ticketmaster, Eventbrite, and public/official event feeds may be used to build event listings, but user precise location is not shared with those event sources for public listing generation.

8. International Users

Proxxi is built in the United States and may be used internationally where available. Data is processed in the United States. By using Proxxi, you consent to the transfer of your data to the US. We aim to honor applicable privacy rights such as GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and LGPD where they apply.

9. Children

Proxxi is for adults 18+ only. It is not intended for teens or minors because it includes real-world events, nearby people, location-enabled discovery, messaging, and nightlife-adjacent social features. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

10. Security

We use HTTPS, secure authentication, row-level security policies, limited admin access, monitoring, and provider-managed encryption at rest to protect data. We also avoid exposing exact location in public Radar surfaces, minimize stale live-location records, and redact sensitive fields from diagnostics where practical.

No internet service can guarantee perfect security. If you believe you found a security issue, contact privacy@michaimedia.com with enough detail for us to investigate.

11. Incident Response

If we discover a security incident affecting personal information, we will investigate, contain the issue, preserve relevant evidence, and notify affected users or regulators when required by applicable law.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated through the app.
